Ubuntu Trading DEX
A decentralized exchange for Nigerian agricultural commodities. Connect verified farmers and traders, replace opaque middlemen with transparent pricing, and trade fractional ownership backed by agent certification and cryptographic proof.
“List your harvest. We verify quality on-site. Traders buy fractional ownership. You get paid in Ubuntu tokens. Resell anytime, or settle fairly when the lifecycle ends.”
Platform features
Built for smallholder listers, fractional traders, and field agents, federated with UbuntuScore so identity, tokens, and verification travel across the ecosystem.
Agent-verified listings
Every commodity is verified on-site before it reaches the market. Agents confirm quantity, grade, and quality with photos and notes; admins approve only what meets platform standards.
Fractional ownership
Traders buy 10% to 100% of any listed commodity, not full bulk minimums. Own 125 kg of a 500 kg rice lot, track your share, and resell when the market moves in your favor.
Ubuntu token economy
Settlement runs on Ubuntu tokens (1 token = ₦100), shared with UbuntuScore. Instant, liquid payment for listers; transparent balances for traders across both platforms.
Ownership certificates
Each purchase generates an Ed25519 cryptographic certificate with QR verification, proof of ownership that travels with every trade and resale on the exchange.
Liquid resale market
Owners can list their fraction for resale at market or custom prices. Other traders buy verified positions without starting from zero on a new commodity lot.
8-month lifecycle
Every listing runs on a fixed lifecycle with star-based progress indicators. At expiry, owners receive proportional payouts in tokens, with no commodities stranded indefinitely.
How it works
From field verification to fractional trades: three steps that turn physical commodities into a transparent, liquid market.
